About the EB crew

Built by the Bosque. Poured by hand. Supervised by cats.

Enchanted Bloom is a small homestead in Central New Mexico. We make wickless wax melts, raise heritage breeds, and dabble in stained glass artwork.

Who we are

Enchanted Bloom was created by Candace, with continuous help from her husband and a rotating cast of animals who are extremely confident they run the place.

Candace looks after the animals and most of the crafts. She points her husband toward things that need building or mending, which is arguably the harder of the two.

Enchanted Bloom has been a long time coming. Candace made candles back in middle school and never really shook the habit. She got her love of stained glass from her grandmother, who learned the craft during The Great Depression. The animals? Lifelong weakness. Turns out all three of those things fit on the same patch of land.

Why here

We live near the Rio Grande, where the sky does its thing and nobody here is impressed anymore — much.

Candace spent years dreaming about trading city noise for dirt roads, and when a new opportunity opened up, you'd better believe she pulled everyone along for the ride.

What we're building

We have many ideas. Here's the shortlist:

One: wax melts. Wickless, hand-poured, small batch. Five scents, one for each Meownager. They take their jobs very seriously.

Two: livestock. We keep a Mottled Java flock, a heritage chicken breed on The Livestock Conservancy's Critical list.

Next on the wish list:

Navajo-Churro sheep, another breed in the same trouble. If we are going to raise livestock for food and goods, we want to help conserve the breed at the same time.

Three: glass. Hand-cut stained-glass artwork and goodies. No timeline yet — the wax has to stand up first.

Four: the long game. A homestead brand where nearly everything comes from the same place and the same pairs of hands.

How we work

Small batches. Real weights. Careful cure times. If a pour doesn't meet spec, it doesn't ship. If it doesn't meet yours, tell us — we'll sort it out.
